When Not To Send Your Child to School
In the best interest of students and staff, we request that you keep your child home if he/she is sick. A child should be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. A fever is greater than or equal to 100.0F. South Carolina Dept. of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) has developed an exclusion list of illnesses when a child MUST be kept out of school. The list includes length of exclusion and if physician follow-up and/or a medical note is required before the student may return to school. Please visit the ASD1 website under the "Parent" and "Health Concerns" tabs for a list of these and many other health-related questions.
If you have questions about any of the above information, contact the school nurse @ 269-1821.
