    Teacher and StudentAcademic Help Programs

Morning Tutoring – Our doors open each day at 7:20 a.m. Two teachers per grade level are present each day to assist with tutoring.  All students are required to work on assignments or read between 7:20 a.m. and 7:50 a.m.  Students that are in need of extra assistance are able to go to a grade level teacher during this time for tutoring.

Lunch Time Learning – Students that frequently do not have assignments for various reasons are assigned to Lunch Time Learning.  These students are given the opportunity to work with an adult to complete their assignments.  These students then eat their lunch during Silent Sustained Reading time.  Failing is not an option!

Letting Individuals Fine Tune – All students learn the standards at different rates.  LIFT allows students to receive “re-teaching” on Wednesdays during their related time.  Grade level teachers hold students from their related class on Wednesday to provide extra assistance in any given subject.

Second Chance – Allows students the opportunity to retake any test for which they were not happy with a grade.  Students stay after school on Thursdays for Second Chance.  The grade of the last test will be recorded.
