• Traffic Circle Reminders

The beginning of a new school year is always a good time to review the procedures in our car and bus circles.  My number one priority is the safety of our students.  As our student enrollment is currently at 600, it is essential that we all work together to make our traffic flow smoothly. In the morning at the car circle, I ask that you continue to drive as far forward as possible before letting your child out.  Students can be let out anywhere along the loading and unloading area immediately beside the gym.  In the afternoon, I ask that you also drive as far forward as possible to pick up your child.  Once a line of vehicles has loaded, it is free to depart, ideally one vehicle after the other.  Sometimes, however, not all vehicles are ready to leave at the same time.  Because of this, I ask that you use your left turn signal when you are in line and ready to leave.  I will wave you through if the line, as a whole, is not ready to leave.  Your signal light will help me tremendously, in that during the afternoon hours I cannot see into your cars due to the glare.  Please continue to remind your children to be alert and aware of when your car is coming through the car circle so that we may load each row of vehicles as quickly as possible.

Our front circle remains for buses only between the hours of 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.  Late arrivals and early dismissals may be made through this area, however, between the hours of 8:00 and 2:30. Students should not be let out on the road between the middle school and the elementary school.  This poses a significant safety risk to our students.  Thank you again for your patience and for making safety a priority.
